If you have installed a second battery in your rig, or you are considering going that route, REDARC has you covered with industry leading their BCDC line of in-vehicle dual battery chargers.

This controller will charge a second battery while on the move using the alternator in your vehicle and solar panels at the same time. BCDC series chargers feature a built-in Maximum Power Point Tracking regulator to ensure you get the maximum power from your solar panels at any given time.

The wide input range of 9 to 32v means these controllers are compatible with both 12 and 24v vehicles. This flexibility means whatever your needs the BCDC unit has your back. Providing extra piece of mind is the ruggedness of the unit itself. Fully sealed electronics mean that water, dust, and vibrations are no match for these chargers even when mounted in the engine bay.

The BCDC range includes the following options:

  • BCDC 1225D - 375W  12v output
  • BCDC 1240D - 600W 12v output
  • BCDC 1250D - 750W 12v output
  • BCDC 2420 - 600W 24v output

Please refer to the matrix below for individual specifications between the options. Please note the 2420 is the only option that provides a 24v output.

To complete your installation don't forget to pick up an appropriate fuse kit which can be found here. Mounting brackets can be found here. If running a BCDC2420 you will need the relay kit here in order to connect your unit to solar panels.
